Purana Ratnam – Vishnu Puranam – Part-1 with Upanyasam

Vishnu Puranam is the best among the Satvika puranams. It is held as “Purana Ratnam” meaning “Jem of Puranas”. Shree Parasara Bhagavan who is the father of Veda Vyasa composed it. SriVaishnava tradition holds three ratnas. They are the Stotra Ratnam of Shree Bhagavat Yaamunaacharya, Mantra Ratnam, which is the Shreemath Dwaya Mantra, and the Purana Ratnam, which is Vishnu Puranam.

This Series will be posted with text commentary extracted from Prakrutham 45th Azaghiyasingar in his Porvasramam (Sri U.Ve. Vidwan villivalam Krishnamacharyar) along with the video upanyasam of Setlur Paiyambadi Sri U.Ve. Srivatsangachar Swami
