SRI RAMA NAVAMI ASTHANAM AT TIRUMALA SHIRNE ON APRIL 1 TIRUMALA, APRIL 1:

In view of the festival of Sri Rama Navami on April 1, the famed hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, the Temple priests performed Snapana Tirumanjanam (Celestial Bath) to Processional Deities of Lord Rama, Seetha, Lakshmana, Anjaneya Swamy at Ranaganayakula Mandapam inside Sri Vari Temple. The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) has cancelled Vasanthotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on Ramanavami day and cancelled Vasanthotsavam even on April 2 following special rituals on these two auspicious days.

On this important festival day, the processional deities of Lord Sri Rama, Sita Devi, Lakshmana Swamy and Lord Hanuman were taken on a procession in the four mada streets. Later on their return to the temple, the temple priests performs special rituals. The pundits read out “Sri Rama Jananam” in Sri Rama Navami Asthanam, that which takes place near Bangaru Vakili in the night at around 10pm. Later on the succeeding day Sri Rama Pattabhishekam will be performed with utmost religious fervour at around 8pm near Bangaru Vakili inside sanctum sanctorum.
