அறிவோம் சற்றே தர்மசாஸ்திரம் – 13
- குளித்தப்பிறகு நம் சிகையின் நுனி மயிரால் முன்புறமாக பூமியில் ஜலம் விழும்படியாகச் செய்யவேண்டும். இவ்விதம் செய்யும் போது பூணுால் இடமாகயிருக்கவேண்டும். இம்மாதிரி சிகையில் இருந்து விழும் ஜலத்தினால் பித்ருதேவதைகள் திருப்தியடைகிறார்கள்.
- தேகத்திலிருந்து விழும் ஜலத்தினால், நம் வம்ச பித்ருக்களில் எவர்கள் மரங்கள, கொடிகளாகவும், பக்ஷகளாகவும்,ஸர்ப்பாதிகளாகவும் இருக்கின்றார்களோ அவர்கள் எல்லாம் திருப்தியடைகின்றனார்.
- முகத்திலிருந்து விழும் ஜலத்தினால் தேவர்கள் திருப்தியடைகின்றனர்.
- சிகையின் பின்புறமாக விழும் நீர் கள்ளுக்கு சமமானது.
- பிறகு கரையிலருந்தபடியே, தலையை முடிந்து கொண்டு, வஸ்திரத்தினை நான்காக மடித்து, பூணுாலை நிவீதம் போட்டுக்கொண்டு பழியவேண்டும்.
- இவ்விதம் பிழியப்பட்ட வஸ்திரஜலத்தை நம் வம்சத்தில் புத்ரனில்லாமல் இறந்துபோன பித்ருக்கள் பகரிர்ந்து கொள்கிறகார்கள்.
- ஈரவஸ்திரத்தினால் தலையினைத் துவட்டக்கூடாது.
- ஆனால் ஈரவஸ்திரத்தினை ஏழுமுறை உதறினால் அந்த வஸ்திரம் உலர்ந்த வஸ்திரத்திற்கு சமம்.

- After bathing, water should fall on earth from our hair’s tip infront.When doing this punal should be towards left side. The water that falls like this is considered to satisfy our Pithrus( ancestors)
- The water that falls from body satisfies our ancestors who are in the form of trees,plans,birds,snakes
- The water that falls from face satisfies Devargal
- The water that falls behind hair is equivalent to stone
- Standing on the bank one should tie the hair,dresses should be folded four times ,wearing the poonal in nividham should wring it.
- The water that falls on wringing the clothes is shared by our pithrus who dint have son & died.
- Should not dry hair with wet cloth but if one shakes off the cloth 7 times then that cloth is equivalent to dry cloth
