As a part of the ongoing Thiruvaadipooram utsavam at Srivilliputtur, purapaddu took place for Sri Andal on Thanga Parangi Narkaali and Sri Rangamannar on Hanumantha Vahanam yesterday on the 3rd of August 2013.
Thiruvaadipooram is celebrated in a grand manner at Andal avatara sthalam Srivilliputtur every year. This year, the 10-day festival commenced on the 1st of August 2013 with Dwajarohanam, Sri Andal’s thirunakshatram will be celebrated on August 9th, 2013. On the 2nd of August 2013, Sri Andal blessed the devotees from Chadra Prabhai and Sri Rangamannar from Simma Vahanam. Thousands of devotees witnessed the beauty of Thayar and Perumal. Earlier in the day, Pallaku Purappadu for Sri Andal and Sri Rangamannar took place, during which the devotees witnessed kannadi sevai.
