Today, January 2; Vijaya Varusha Margazhi Pooradam, Day 2 of Pagal Pathu of Thiruadhyayana Utsavam was celebrated at Sri Amaruviappan Perumal Temple, Therazhundur. There was purappadu for Sri Amaruviappan Perumal in the evening.
Yesterday, thirumanjanam was performed for Perumal, Ubhaya Nachiyars, Thayar and Azhwars in the morning and in the evening, purappadu took place for Sri Amaruviappan Perumal. The beauty of the Utsavamurthy as brought out in the photographs [THEREZUNDUR) is simply beyond any human description- we are indeed blessed to see this with our eyes-“kaana kan kodi vendumayya nidhan sundara vadanamadai”. Iam reminded of the beauty of Sri Madhava Perumal of Mylapore as a possible parallel for comparison.
