Today 5 February, 2014, Vijaya Thai Revathi; Is the day 2 of Srirangam Bhoopathi Thirunal Utsavam.NamPerumal started his Purappadu from Kannadi Arai at 5.30a.m. in Otrai Prabhai. Perumal in all His alankaram blessed the devotees who came in the cold. The Purappadu went around the four Uthira Veedhis and after entering inside through Ranga Ranga Gopuram proceeded to Thayar Sannidhi. At the golu mandapam Tiruaradhanam and goshti, Theertham took place. NamPerumal will be in Thayar Sannidhi till 4.30 p.m. Generally if devotees desire to have close sevai of Perumal they should ascertain in which mandapam NamPerumal is gracing that day and proceed to that place. This oppurtunity is available only during utsavams. One can experience and enjoy NamPerumal as long as they want. Evening Purappadu on Hamsa Vahanam will happen at 6.30p.m.
