Yesterday, Jaya Chitra Navami was Thillaisthanam Swami’s aradhanam at Swami’s Brindavanam in SriRangam Dasavatharan Sannidhi. Aradhanam refers to the day a sanyasi attained paramapadhaprapthi. Thillaisthanam Swami took avatharam in Tillaisthanam on 28.11.1871 (Karthigai Mrighasheersham). He was known as Neelameghachar. On 02.03.1879 Swami had panchasamskaram (samashrayanam) done by 35th Srimadh Azhagiasingar (Kalathur Srimath Azhagiyasingar). Between the years 1882-1889 Swami did Grantha kalakshepam at the feet of 37th Srimadh Azhagiasingar (Pillaipaakam Srimath Azhagiyasingar). On 20.0.1905 Swami had Bharanyasam and prekshamantraopadesham done by 38th Srimath Azhagiyasingar (Thirukkundanthai Srimath Azhagiyasingar). He was called to sanyasashramam on 01.10.1914 by 40th Srimath Azhagiyasingar (Karakurichi Srimath Peria Azhagiyasingar). Swami took the name SriSathakopa Ramanuja Yathindra Mahadesikan. Though Swami did not become an Azhagiasingar His contribution to the Ahobila Muth was tremendous. Swami travelled the length and breadth of Bharathadesam spreading Srivaishnava sampradhayam. He observed 42 chathurmasya sankalpams and attained paramapadam at SriRangam Dasavatharan Sannidhi.
Every day the Aradhakar swami offers worship at Swami’s Brindavanam in Dasavatharan sannidhi. Today being Swami’s aradhana day special Thirumanjanam was done at the Brindavanam. Veda parayanam was done as also divya prabhandha parayanam. It was an ennobling experience to hear the sonorous chanting done by the swamis who have a hectic schedule these days as NamPerumal’s Viruppan Tirunal is on. Without these chants sanctity is lost. Satrumurai was done after which Perumal Theertham, Sri Sathari and prasada viniyogam took place.
