On, May 31,2014 Vaikasi Arudhra, Mylapore SVDD Sri Alarmelmanga sametha Sri Srinivasa Perumal Vaikasi Brahmotsavam started off today in a grand manner with dhwajarohanam. On this occasion Perumal had purappadu from molasthanam to the dhwaja Mandapam were Perumal had sakala upacharams and the dhwaja Padam printed with garuda carried from the molasthanam placed in the uthsavar thiruvadi and the dhwajarohanam performed around 4 am after that Perumal with ubhaya nachiyars had thiruveethi purappadu in chapparam with grand arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Lot of astikas took part in the purappadu and had blessings of Thayar and Perumal.
