On June 11, 2014; Jaya Varusha Vaikasi Visakam, the three-day Jyesthabhishekam commenced at Tirumala. In the evening, Sri Malayappaswamy adorned the Vajra Kavacham-the gold armour studded with precious stones and diamonds, worn only on this occasion once a year. Veedhi purappadu took place for the Divya Dampathis.

In the morning, after the second archana and second mani at around 7am, Sri Malayappaswamy and Ubhaya Nachiyars had purappadu till the Sampangi Prakaram. Thereafter, Mahashanti homam was performed by the temple priests amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by 8am. This ritual was followed by Satakalasa Thirumanjanam between 9am to 11am.
