As part of the ongoing 5-day annual Theppotsavam at Sri Padmavathi Temple, Thiruchanoor, on June 11, 2014, Day 4 of the utsavam was celebrated.Sri Padmavathi Thayar had purappadu till the Purshkarni where the Theppotsavam took place in a grand manner. Thayar had purappadu on Gaja Vahanam as part of the utsavam.
On the first day, Sri Krishna along with His Ubhaya Nachiyars had purappadu around the mada streets before reaching the Padmasarovar (temple tank). Thereafter, the deities mounted on the beautifully illuminated Theppam and had purappadu from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Several hundreds of devotees witnessed the utsavam from the steps of the temple tank. The asthana vidwans played the nadaswaram and the temple archakas recited the Vedas.
