The Annual Desika prabandham and Desika sthothram competition conducted by Sripatham Association was held on 7th of September 2014 at Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam, Mylapore. Children aged from 6-10 years contested in the competition on Thiruchinnamalai and Nyaasa Vimsathi. Around 25 Participants from different parts of Chennai had come and participated with much enthusiasm. Winners were selected by eminent scholars who judged the kids on various aspects.
Also there is a competition for children aged from 11 – 15 on 14 Sep 2014 in the temple. The topics for the competition are Sri Desika Prabhandham : Adhikara sankriham , Sri Desika Stothram : Raghuveera Ghadyam
