On, 22 October 2014, Jaya varusha Aippasi Hastham; Poigai Azhwar Avathara Utsavam commenced in a very grand manner on the day of deepavalli at Azhwar’s avathara sthalam Thiruvekka Sri Yathokthakari Swamy Thirukkoil. In the morning around 9.00 a.m Thirumanjanam was performed to Sri Yathokthakari Perumal and Poigai Azhwar. Later in the evening at 6.00 p.m, Poigai Azhwar thiruveedhi purappadu took place in the temple streets of Thiruvekka and asthanam. Lot of astikas took part in the morning thirumanjanam and evening purappadu and had the blessings of Azhwar and Divyadampatis.
All Astikas are invited to attend Poigai Azhwar Avathara Utsavam at THiruvekka,Azhwar Avathara sthalam . The utsavam will be celebrated for 10 days and Azhwar’s thirunakshatram will be celebrated on Aippasi Sravanam which falls on October 31, 2014 .
