Sri Dushyant Sridhar is scheduled to conduct upanyasams on varied topics in the month of January 2015 at Chennai and Thrissur. In Dec-2014, he has registered a charitable religious trust called ‘Desika Daya‘ ( D Square).This trust will carry out renovation and maintenance of Sri.Vedanta Desikans’ sannidhis (shrines) that have been housed in ancient temples (over 150 years old). This will be carried out with the support of his lectures, like-minded astikas and Swami Desikan followers. Through this trust, charity towards the under-privileged will also be carried out. As a baby step towards this initiative, over 100 clothes (80-Sarees and 20-Chudidars) were donated to Vishranti Old Age Home for Destitute Women (Chennai). Also one-full day food (breakfast to dinner) along with water has been arranged. This is to commemorate Andal’s beautiful verse ‘Ambarame Thanneere Soore Aram Seyyum‘ (Giving clothes, food, water will bestow goodwill). We shall wish the trust good luck in all its future endeavours towards Swami Desikan and the society at large, and shall lend our hands when it needs support.
