Srivilliputhur Sri Andal Thirukalyanam-0016/12/2014  was the first day of Margazhi and at 5.00pm UbhaVe Asuri Adoor Madhavachariar swami began his discourse of Tiruppavai and Tirunedunthandakam at Sathajith Bhavanam Srirangam.  Swami started the upanyasam by explaining the meaning of Brahmam. Brahmam means huge and is the combination of Satyam (Truth), Gnanam (True knowledge) and is Ananth (no beginning or end). Only a parishuddha atma(pure soul) can realize Brahmam. Thirty pasurams of Tirunedunthandakam reveal in a clear manner, Vishistadvaitha.Yogam, japam and bhakthi are means of realizing Him but are not easy to practise. What is possible is Nyasa Vidya  advocated in The Upanishads, which teaches us the path of sharangathi. Total surrender of one’s soul make us reach Srivaikuntam and enjoy unending bliss. The starting pont is to desire Him and He descends to our level and wants to take us to moksham whatever be our caste or status. He revealed as much in Bhaghavad Geetha but sad to say the message failed to have an impact on even the ones who were in proximity to Him.

Saddened by this He discussed this with Sri, Neela and Bhumi Devi. Bhumi Devi agreed to descend at Srivilliputtur to demonstrate and shown the road of Saranagathi. That day on which gnanam is born is a good day(nan naal). The start of the Margazhi nonbu is an auspicious one. Nanda’s son is like the scorching sun to His enemies and the cool moon to devotees. Krishna the cowherd is none other than Sriman Narayana the bestower of “parai” (moksham).  When we do prappathi at His lotus feet He gives us eternal kainkaryam at Srivaikuntam after we shed our mortal coils on earth. The first pasuram speaks of Perumal’s Paratvam. He is Sarvashakthan, (all powerful) yet accessible to everyone so let us join Andal and her band of gopis and attain Him
