Jaya Panguni Uthiram 2015 was on April 3rd. We were visiting Tirunangoor divyadesams and happened to be at Van Purushottaman at about 11.00 a.m. We proceeded to Thayar sannidhi and had the fortune of being part of the on-going Serthi-utsavam. Perumal Van Purushottaman and Thayar Purushothamavalli were in ‘ekasimhasanam’ (same throne) and Ramanujacharya in anjali hastham was at the side. Additionally the reigning azhwar Tirumangai and Kumudavalli nachiar were at Their Feet. There was one swami doing “Gadhya Traya” anusandhanam with all sincerity and a handful of devotees were on the platform. Accustomed to the swelling crowds at Srirangam and the hussle and tussle we would go through for a glimpse of the” Divine Couple” it seemed as if the Divya Dampathis out of Their infinite Mercy were giving us a special darshan. We drank the Beauty of Perumal/Pirrati. Tirumangai Azhwar/ Kumudavalli nachiyar and The Ocean of Mercy Ramanujacharya. After Theertham, Sri Sathari and Prasadam (dry fruits, madhuparkam and sakkarai pongal) Sriman Ramani (our host) and Sriman Sundararajan had the bhagyam of carrying Perumal and Udayavar back to the sannidhi while adiyal had the bhagyam of sitting at Thayar sannidhi till the aradhakar swami came back. The same evening had bhagyam of listening to Gadhya Traya parayanam at Semponseikoil. What touched us was the sincerity with which the utsavam was conducted with a handful of people around.
