Swami Desikan Purattasi Vaarsheeka Mahothsavam is being celebrated in a grand scale at his birth place Sri Thoopul (Kancheepuram) by Sri Vilakkoli Thoopul Vedantha Desikan Sravanam Trust (founded by Vaikuntavasi Sri Rama Dasarathy Swamy) for more than 50 years. Accordingly, this year it will be celebrated from 15th to 25th September 2014. Mangalasasanam at Sri Varadan Sannidhi will take place on 24th September.
