The ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy located in the heart of Tirupati City has witnessed its first ever religious event of Hanumantha Vahana Seva on Monday evening. According to Vaikhanasa agama five days are considered to be auspicious in vaishnava temples, viz. Pournami, Amavasya, Sukla Ekadasi, Krishna Ekadasi and Sravana or Punarvasu Nakshatram. On Monday, the advent of Amavasya combined with Sravana Nakshatra happened after several decades(almost after 144years). Ttd instroduced Hanumantha vahana Seva on this auspicious occasion and observed the fete with utmost religious fervour. Scores of pilgrims and denizens took part in this celestial event. Since Lord Hanuman is revered as “Sankata Mochana”, the destroyer of evil powers and bad ideologies, the devotees felt blessed with the very sight of Lord Sri Rama on the mighty Hanumantha Vahana.
