Chithirai Brahmotsavam commenced in a grand manner at Thiruvallur Sri Veeraraghava Perumal Temple. On April 12th 2016, in the morning Dwajarohanam was performed and Senai Mudaliyar Purappadu followed by Sri Perumal with His Consorts Thiruveethi Purappadu on Thanga Chapparam. Later in the evening Sri Perumal had Simha Vahana Alangaram and Thiruveethi Purappadu took place. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Purappadu and received the blessings of Divyadampathis.
