Durmukhi Chitra Barani(7/5/2016) was the seventh day celebrations of Ramanuja jayanthi utsavam at Kanchi Varadaraja Perumal koil. Bhaghavadh Bashyakarar was clad in brown silk and sported a green conical crown like Tirupathi Srinivasa. He wore a garland of vrikshi like Sriranganatha and listened to violin trio of Komanduri Dr. Seshadri, Anantha Sourirajan and Dr. Vikata Krishnan. The beautiful notes produced by the trio had the audience shaking their heads in approval and their hands did the taalam. The favourite ‘Naghu momo,’ Brochevara’ and ‘Raghuvamsa sudha’ were thoroughly enjoyed. Bhattar swami honoured the musicians and took us on a virtual tour of the sannidhi. Listen to him describe how the 10 days are celebrated and how the avatharauthsavam will be celebrated on the 10th of May.
