Aadi Masa Pirappu Purappadu took place in a grand manner at Mannargudi Sri Rajagopalaswami Temple. On July 16th 2016, in the evening Sri Perumal had beautiful alangaram followed by Purappadu. Grand satrumurai and sevakalam took place with arulicheyal and veda parayana ghosti. Many devotees participated in the Masa Pirappu Purappadu and received the blessings of Sri Perumal.

Nowadays I am seeing some differences is on Gopalan’s Alankaram especially with the VESHTI KATTU which is Mannargudi’s Traditional way!
Mannai Sri V. Ranganathan Swami every time giving his comment regarding “Veshti Kattu”. Now the Dikshidars of Mannargudi are younger generation. Yesteryear’s alankaram they don’t know. Not even they have not shown interest to see the photos of yesteryear’s alankaram. So whatever alankaram of Sri Gopalan we seek blessings of Sri Thayar and Sri Gopalan. Shamikannum.
