Today June 14, 2017 (Hevilambi Vaikasi Thiruvonam), Ashtabandhanam took place at Sri Kodandaramaswamy Temple in Tirupathi. This was performed as a part of the ongoing Maha Samprokshanam at the Temple. The day commenced with Suprabhatam. Thereafter, Vedic rituals were performed at the Yagashala, which has specially been constructed for this purpose in temple premises. Astabandhanam was performed to Jaya Vijaya, Mahalakshmi in Potu, Vishwaksena, Anjaneya Swamy located opposite the shrine and other parivara deities and 20 Balipeethams located surrounding the temple.
Mahasamprokshanam will conclude on June 16, 2017 (Friday) and the devotees will be allowed for darshan from 10:30 am onwards. On the same day evening, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam will be performed. Grihastas who are willing to take part in this utsavam should pay Rs 500 on which two persons will be allowed.
