On July 30, 2017; Hevilambi Varusha Aadi Chithirai, Vanabhojana Utsavam was celebrated in grand manner at Mylapore Sri Adhikesava Perumal Temple (Peyazhwar Avatharasthalam). On this day, Sri Adhikesava Perumal alongwith Ubhaya Nahciyars had purappadu to Sri Vanamamalai Mutt at Thiruvallikeni, Chennai. At the Mutt, Perumal and Thayars as well as Chakrathazhwar had thirumanjanam. Perumal and thayars gave darsanam in the beautiful pachai (green) alankaram. In the evening, Perumal had purappadu at Thiruvallikeni and later returned to Asthanam at Mylapore. Several devotees took part in the Vanabhojana utsavam, which takes place once every year, to receive the blessings of Divya Dampatis.
