Today, August 4th, 2017, Hevilambi Aadi Moolam (Vellikizhamai/Friday), Varalakshmi Vratam was celebrated grandly at Thiruchanoor Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple. The mandapam is specially decorated with colourful floral and lighting for the utsavam.
On the auspicious day, the Sri Padmavathi Thayar as Sri Vara Mahalakshmi Devi in all Her divine splendour had special poojas. Later in the evening, the Goddess will be taken on a celestial ride on Swarna Ratham along the four mada streets.
