On August 27, 2017; Hevilambi Avani Swathi, Mahasamprokshanam took place at Sri Ninra Narayana Perumal Temple, Thiruthankal. The five-day utsavam took place in a grand manner starting from August 23, 2017.
Sri Ninra Narayana Divya Desam at Thiruthankal is located 4 km east of Sivakasi on the Srivilliputhur–Virudhanagar road and about 25 km from Srivilliputtur Divya Desam. The moolavar is seen in a standing posture atop a hill (the Thankal Malai). There is a Ranganatha Sannidhi on the western entrance, from where one has to climb 10-15 steps to reach the Ninra Narayanan Sannidhi. In the garbhagruham, there are 11 archa murthis: Deiveeka Vasudevan, Sridevi, Neeladevi, Bhoodevi, Brigu Maharishi, Markandeya Rishi, Garuda, Arunan, Anirudhan, Ushai and Jambavathi. Thayar at this sthalam is known as Sri Sengamala Thayar and utsavar as Thiruthankal Appan. On the fifth day of Srivilliputtur Andal Utsavam (Thiruvadipooram utsavam in the Aadi month), Thiruthankal Appan participates in the pancha Garuda sevai.
