On October 1, 2017 (Hevilambi Purattasi Thiruvonam), the 750th Thirunakshatram of Swami Desikan was celebrated grandly at Sri Vedantha Desikar Temple, adjacent to Sri Talpagiri Ranganathar Sannidhi, Nellore Andhra Pradesh. The 10-day utsavam that commenced on 21st September 2017 concluded with the grand sattrumurai. On Swami Desikan Thirunakshatram, Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed with evening Pettai utsava purappadu and Ganthapodi Utsavam. Astikas in and around the area participated in the utsavam and received Acharyan anugraham.
