Yesterday, 24 January 2018, Hevilambi Varusha Thai Aswini; is the day of Rathasapthami. In the morning Perumal purappadu happens in 4 different vahanam at Sri Adhikesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore, Chennai. The Perumal purappadu started at 6 a.m in Thiruther followed by Garuda Sevai at 7.00 A.m. The Sesha vahana Purappadu took place at 10.00 A.m followed by Surya vahanam at 11.00 A.m.
In the evening around 3.00 P.m Thirumanjanam was conducted for Sri Adhikesava Perumal with goshti satrumurai. Later around 4.30 p.m Perumal purappadu in Yanai Vahanam followed by Chandra Prabhai and Hanumantha vahanam took place in the temple streets of Mylapore. Lot of astikas had darshan of Perumal Purappadu in different vahanam in a day and had the blessings of Thayar and Perumal.
