On 20th April 2018 (SriVilambi Chithirai Mirugaseerisam), Sri Alamelumangai Thayar Chithirai vellikizhamai Purappadu took place grandly at Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple (SVDD) at Mylapore. On this occasion, Thayar had thirumanjanam in the morning and purappadu inside the temple premises. Sri Alamelu Thayar was was decorated beautifully with a blue saree and various types of flower garlands and ornaments. Then She gave scintillating darshan to the Bhaktas on chinna (small) Garuda vaahanam. Several Astikas participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of Sri Alamelumangai Thayar.
