On 22nd April 2018 (SriVilambi Chithirai Punarpoosam), the Rangamudi Sevai was celebrated well at SriRangapatnam, Karanataka. The day on which Gautama Rishi first performed worship to the Lord is still celebrated every year as Sri Ranga Jayanti at Srirangapatna. In the morning, Thirumanjanam was performed for Perumal and His consorts. In the evening, the Vijaya Vigraha of the Lord with His consorts were taken out on processionpm Garudazhwar. Then the Perumal was adorned with famous Rangamudi (a special crown studded with diamonds and precious gems). Perumal along with Sridevi and Bhudevi gave scintillating darshan to the devotees. Thousands of astikas participated in the Rangamudi Utsavam and had the blessings of Perumal.
