On 26th April 2018 (SriVilambi Chithirai Pooram), the 6th day of the Chithirai Utsavam was celebrated grandly at Sri Sarangapani Temple, Thirukudanthai (Kumbakonam). In the evening, Sri Aaravamudhan and Sri Chakrapani had Raja alangaram with flower garlands and attractive ornaments. Thayar wore green silk saree and decorated with saaya kondai, jewels and flowers. Sri Aaravamudhan and Thayar had purappadu on velli yaanai vaahanam followed by Sri Chakrapani purappdu on velli yaanai vaahanam.
On previous day, the morning of the 5th day of Chithirai Utsavam (25 April,chithirai magam); Sri Aaravamudhan and Sri Chakrapani had sikkuthadai alangaram.The thirumudi alangaram is sikkuthadai alangaram and it is quite unique. Perumal had bow (sarngam) and arrow in His hand. Then Sri Sarangapani and Sri Chakrapani had purappadu on palanquin. In the evening, Sri Aaravamudhan and Sri Chakrapani had auspicious alangaram with flower garlands of kanakambaram, thulasi and jasmine. They gave scintillating darshan to the astikas on Hanumatha vaahanam. Thousands of devotees participated in the Chithirai Utsavam and had the blessings of Perumal.
Meanwhile, on 24th April 2018(SriVilambi Chithirai Aayilyam), the 4th day of Chithirai Utsavam was celebrated grandly. On the occasion, Sri Aaravamudhan and Sri Chakrapani had Thiruveethi purappadu on golden Garuda vaahanam. After that, They were taken on the light emitted chapparam.
Several astikas participated in the Chithirai Utsavam and had the blessings of both Sri Aaravamudhan and Sri Chakrapani.
