The 8th day of Sri Namperumal’s Viruppan Thirunal was celebrated at Sri Ranganathaswamy Divya Desam, Srirangam on May 12, 2018 (SriVilambi Chithirai Uthirattathi). In the morning, Sri Namperumal had a great alangaram with a large round pendant and flower garlands of kanakambaram, jasmine and thulasi. He wore a majestic crown fixed with a green stone and several white stones. He ascended on the silver kuthirai and had purappadu in the the Vandalur chapparam,which was decorated beautifully with flower garlands. Sri Namperumal gave scintillating darshan to His devotees.
In the evening, perumal was adorned with several jewels and flowers and had pearl fixed beautiful crown. After alangaram, Namperumal had purappadu on Thanga Kuthirai Vaahanam. Several astikas participated in the 8th day of the Utsavam and had the blessings of Namperumal.
