On 8th June 2018, Srivilambi Vaikasi Utthirattathi; being Friday; Sri Kanakavalli Thayar purappadu took place grandly at Sri Vaidhya Veeraraghava Devasthanam, Thiruvallur. Sri Kanakavalli Thayar adorned red silk vasthram and was decorated beautifully with beautiful ornaments, a golden crown and fragrant flower garlands of sembaruthi, thulasi and jasmine. After alankaram, Sri Kanakavalli Thayar had ul purappadu and oonjal (swing) sevai. The oonjal mandapam was decorated with colourful lights. Several devotees participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of Sri Kanakavalli Thayar.
