On 27th July 2018 (SriVilambi Aadi Uthiradam), Aadi Garudan at Kanchipuram Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple was celebrated grandly. In the evening, Garuda Sevai took place. Sri Devathirajan adorned green silk vasthram with violet border. He had a beautiful alankaram with flower garlands and several ornaments. He ascended on Garudan and had a purappadu in the temple streets of Kanchipuram. Several astikas participated in the purappadu and had the blessings of Sri Devathithirajan.
