As a part of ongoing Pavithrotsavam in Thirukkudanthai Sri Sarangapani Temple, the 5th day utsavam took place with high festivity on 20th July 2018 (Vilambi Aadi Chithirai). Perumal had purappadu around the temple premises after his alankaram in an auspicious yellow vasthram with garlands and pavithrams.
On 18th and 19th of July 2018 (Vilambi-Aadi Uthiram, Hastham), the 3rd and 4th day were celebrated well with homam, purnahuti and purappadu. Several asthikas in and around Kumbakonam took part in this grand utsavam.
