The 750th Thirunakshatra Mahotsavam for Swami Desikan will be celebrated at Seva Trust, Mani Mandapam, Villivakkam in a grand manner. The Mahotsavam is being held for 28 days starting from 25th August 2018 (Avani Sravanam) which marked the Hayagriva Jayanthi to 21st September 2018 (Purattasi Sravanam-Desika Jayanthi).
The 28-day utsavam will have a variety of programmes including upanyasams, vahana thiruveedhi purappadu (during the last 10 days), thadhiyaradhanam, Swami Desikan mangalasasanam utsavam and release of souvenir.
Seva Trust was founded by Sri Seva Swami with the objective of spearheading Swami Desika’s philosophy. The Trust has carried out several activities and conducted many programmes in recent months to celebrate Swami Desikan’s 750 years in a benefitting manner. Some of these include a spiritual camp at Kethandapatti Agraharam for 30 children and Divya Desa yatras to Ahobilam, Thirupullani and Thirukoshtiyur among others.
