On 29th August 2018 (Srivilambi Aavani Uthirattathi), the Pavithrotsavam commenced in a grand manner at Sri Prasanna Venkata Perumal Temple, Mettupalayam. On the occasion, Thirumanjanam for Perumal and Ubhaya Nachiyars took place well. The Thirumanjanam began with holy water followed by milk, curd, honey, turmeric, sandal paste,etc. Several astikas participated and had the blessings of Divyadampathis.
