On 8th October 2018 (Srivilambi – Purattasi – Uthiram), Mahalaya Amavasya Purappadu took place at Periya Maadaveethi of Thiruvallikeni Sri Parthasarathy Perumal Temple. In the evening Perumal and Ubhaya Nachiyars adorned pink vasthrams and were decorated with kaasu malai, pendant and tricolor garland of jasmine, sevvanthi and red rose. Several astikas participated and had the blessings of Divyathampathis.
