Kalyanotsavam was performed to the utsava murti – Lord Ranganathar and his consort Ranganayaki on November 13, 2011. The archagar conducted the wedding ceremony by pronouncing the family pedigree of Thayar and Perumal. Initially, the utsava murthis of Perumal and Thayar faced each other. After the archagar performed appropriate rituals, Perumal and Thayar were brought together and the mangala sutra dharana took place. The seva commenced at 4.30 pm to be concluded (including the sathumurai) at around 7.00 pm. Several bhaktas participated in the utsavam to seek blessings of the Divya Dampatis.
