Laksha Kumkuma Archana to Sri Padmavathi Thayar at Thiruchanur

To mark the beginning of the Brahmotsavams at Thiruchanoor, Laksha Kumkuma Archanai was offered to Sri Padmavathi Thayar yesterday, the 20th of November 2011.

Varshika Brahmotsavams is the Biggest Temple Festival being conducted to celebrate Padmavathi Thayars Appearance day on earth. Festivities commence nine days prior to her Appearance day i.e., on Karthika Shukla Panchami (Bright fortnite, fifth day after New moon) so that the Last day would be Chakra Sananam which is the most important and will also put the curtains for the Annual festivities. The Main and most attractive would be Goddess riding on her Vehicle the Devine Elephant. It would be on the 5th day from the start of the festivities.  This year the Brahmotsavams are from 20th November to 29th November
