All of you may please note that this is the Temple, in the area of Tiruppukkuzhi. Tiruppukkuzhi is known as Jataayu Sthalam and this Temple in Cheyyar is Sampaathi Sthalam. Sampaathi was the brother of Jataayu. This Sampaathi vigraham is installed in the Garbagraham of Sri Vijaya Kothanda Ramar Sannathi, facing Perumal and the temple tank is also called Sampathi Pushkarani, on the same lines in Tiruppukkuzhi, where it is called Jataayu Pushkarani.
