The nine day annual brahmotsavams of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara of Srinivasa Mangapuram near Tirupati is being conducted from February 12 to 20, 2012 in a grand manner.

Today, in the morning, which is the third day of the ongoing Brahmotsavam, the processional deity of Lord Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, mounted atop the simha vahanam in form of Yoga Narasimha Swamy, was taken out in a grand procession.

Earlier on February 12, 2012 (Sunday), Dwajarohanam’ was performed in the temple of Lord Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy signalling the commencement of the Brahmotsavam.

The sacred yellow cloth flag with the imprint of Lord Garuda, the celestial carrier of Lord Maha Vishnu, was hoisted atop the golden flag post, `Dwajasthambham,’ situated inside the temple complex at the auspicious `meena lagnam’ 9.30 a.m. amidst the traditional recitation of Vedic hymns by temple priests.

Important days of the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple Brahmotsavam: Dwajarohanam (between 9am to 9.30am) on 12 Feb, Garuda Vahanam on 16 Feb, Rathotsavam by 7.30am on 19 Feb and Chakrasnanam on 20 Feb.
