As part of the ongoing 10-day Sri Ramanavami Utsavam celebration which commenced on March 31, 2012 at Sri Kodandaramaswamy Thirukkoil, Vaduvur, the following are the utsavams that took place on Days 5 to 7…
On Day 5 (April 4, 2012) of Sri Ramanavami Utsavam, special Andal Alankaram was arranged in the morning followed by purapadu (procession). In the evening, purappadu in Hanumantha vahanam took place.
On Day 6 (April 5, 2012) of the utsavam, Sri Ramar along with Sita Pirati in Raja Alankaram went to every house across 15 different streets in Vaduvur. The Purana street was represented by Sri Srinivasa Desikachariar Swami (Srikaryam, Srimad Andavan Ashram), Sri Lakshmi Narasimhachariar swami (Aradhakar, Ahobila Mutt) and Villur S. Karunakaran Swami. The travel started at 6 am in the morning and concluded at 9 am in the evening. (15 hours) The whole village was in festive mood, welcoming Divya Thambathi the whole day.
Late in the evening was Mohana Alankaram, where Sri Ramar was dressed as Mohini with Sita Pirati gazing at the beauty of Lord Rama.
On Day 7 (April 6, 2012), the major events included Kalyanotsavam in the morning with Sri Ramar on Gaja vahanam and Sita Pirati on Hamsa vahanam; Choornotsavam in the evening; and Thiruchevigai purappadu at night.
