Annual Brahmotsavam begins in Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Rishikesh

Dwajarohanam’ was performed in the temple, signalling the commencement of the nine-day annual `Brahmotsavam’ in Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Rishikesh on Thursday. The sacred yellow cloth flag with the imprint of Lord Garuda, the celestial carrier of Lord Maha Vishnu, was hoisted atop the golden flag post `Dwajasthambham’ situated inside the temple complex at the auspicious karkataka lagnam at bet 8.45am to 9.15 a.m. amidst the traditional recitation of Vedic hymns by temple priests.
