A thematic presentation on NAlAyira Divya Prabhandham will be made by Smt. Kothai Venkatapathy and Smt. Vishnupriya Srinivasan on Sunday, June 24th 2012 from 2 PM to 3 PM at 477 Lincoln Highway, Iselin, NJ 08830 to mark the occasion of Sri Chakrathazhwar Thirunakshatram celebrations. This has been organised under the auspices of Sri Ramanuja Mission of Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam.
Smt. Kothai Venkatapathy and Smt. Vishnupriya Srinivasan have been giving Thematic presentations on NAlAyira Divya Prabhandham for a very long time since 1990. Hailing from the family of Sri.U.Ve.Karapangadu Venkatachariyar Swamy, Smt.Kothai Venkatapathy has been doing Kalakshepams/Upanyasams since 1990 .She has initiated and completed lot of Temple projects like Temple Renovation and various other Srivaishna Temple Kainkaryams since then and also started taking classes on Divya prabhandham. In addition to Kalakshepams, initiated by her Guru Sri.Srirama Bharathi, she has been giving Thematic Musical Presentations on Divya prabhandham in India on various topics like ‘Parangusa Nayaki, Parakaala Nayaki’, ‘Krishnaanubhavam’, ‘Narasimha Vaibhavam’,’Naachiyar Thirumozhi’ etc. She has also written and released a research work on Sri Andal called ‘Sanga Tamizh Maalai’ and she has been awarded with many awards and titles like ‘Best woman Award’ , ‘Sri Vaishnava Sri Ramanuja Paduka and Sevaka’ in recognition of her Temple Kainkaryams and service to Sri Vaishnava Community in her lifetime.
In addition to her Sri Vaishnava Temple Kainkaryams, she has written and composed around 10 songs in Carnatic Music in praise of Lord Sriman Narayana.
Following her footpath Smt.Vishnupriya who is trained in Carnatic Music as well as Tamizh Isai, started her Thematic Presentations on Divya prabhandham in US since 2000 and has given, ‘Nachiyar Thirumozhi’, ‘Ramayanam in Divyaprabhandam’ in JET,USA on Sri Yagam, ‘Srinivasa Magimai’ at Sri Guruvayoorappan Temple to mention a few. She has been teaching Carnatic Music as well as Divyaprabhandham to kids and adults in and around South Brunswick Area since 2004.
On this event ‘Namasankeerthanamum Devaghaanamum’ – will be presented which includes Pasurams from Periyazhwar Thirumozhi and few Bhajans for Navaneetha Krishnar, Sri Ramanujar and Parivaar.
