Brahmotsavam for this year at Thiruthangal has begun on 26th June 2012 and concludes on the 9th of July 2012. 4 kms east of the cracker town of Sivakasi on the Srivilliputhur – Virudhanagar road, is the Ninra Narayana Divya Desam in Thiru Thangal. The Lord is seen in a standing posture atop a hill(the Thangal Malai). There is the Lord Ranganatha Sannidhi on the Western Entrance, from where one has to climb 10-15 steps to reach the Ninra Narayanan Sannidhi.

Yesterday, 29th of June 2012,  Sri Perumal and Thayar blessed the devotees from Munmandapam (Front Hall) of the Temple. The rituals were conducted as per Sri Vaikansa Agamam. Sri Prabhu/ Venkatarama Bhattachar performed Rakshabhandanam and Dwajarohanam. In the evening, Thirumanjanam was performed and 4000 Divya Prabhandam seva kalam along with Satrumurai was done. Perumal was taken in procession in Surya Prabhai and Thayar Tholukinyan.
