A Pushpa Yagam was performed at Srimad Andavan Poundarikapuram Swami Ashramam’s Keezha Uththira Veedhi Swami Desikan Sannidhi on Friday, August 10th 2012. Sri.U.Ve.Navalpakkam Sudarshanachariar, Sannidhi ArAdhakar performed the Pushpa Yagam and was well assisted by Srimad Rayapuram Andavan, Sri Raghuveera Mahadesikan’s antharanga kainkaryaparar Sri.U.Ve.Srinivasachariar Swamin.
The function started around 17.30 hours and was attended by around 80 bhagavatas. The hall was decorated grandly with flowers and festoon lamps. The Prabhanda Ghosti recited select 4000 Divya Prabhandha Pasurams.
Ashrama Aradhana Perumal Sri Lakshmi Haygreevan and Sri Andal were decorated with Pushpa Malas and DivyAbharanams. When the ghosti was on, ArAdhakar Swami performed pushpa yAgam to Sri Lakshmi Haygreevan and Sri Andal with various pushpams like Malligai, Roja, Arali, Thulasi, Kadambam etc. This was followed by Mangala Arathi, Thaligai, Veda sARRumurai and PrasAda ViniyOgam to the Ghoshti.
Around 50 ladies attended the Yagam. All of them were given ThAmboolam, Saradu and Blouse Piece by the organisers. The function came to a close around 20.30 hrs.
