Sri Vilakkoli Thoopul Vedantha Desikan Trust is organising Swamy desikan’s 744th Tirunakshatra mahothsavam at His birth place Thoopul. It is a ten day elaborate festival and the Trust is appealing to the public for financial support from all devotees. It is but sheer dedication on the part of the organisers and also numerous volunteers, who enthusiastically participate during Saathumurai on final day at Thoopul Sannathi and Swamy Desikan goes inside Sri Deva Perumal Temple for Mangalaasaasanam, which ends in the famous ” Piriyaavidai” that evening.
