Yesterday, the 21st of October 2012 – Aippasi – Pooradam was the Thirunakshatram of Sri Vishwaksenar. It was celebrated across many Divya desams and Abhimana stalams.
VISHWAKSENA: (aka Senai Mudaliar).
He is said to have been born in the month Aippasi in the constellation of Pooradam. The lord first taught Periya Piraatti and she in turn taught Senai Mudaliar the esoteric meanings. The Slokas relating to Vishwaksena are as follows:
இவருக்கு வாஸஸ்தானம் ஸ்ரீவைகுண்டம்.
இவர் ஆழ்வார் திருநகரிக்கு எழுந்தருளி நம்மாழ்வாருக்கு யோகதசையில் ஸேவை ஸாதித்து மந்தர மந்திரார்த்தங்களை உபதேசித்தார். இவர் அருளிய க்ரந்தம் விஷ்வக்ஸேநஸம்ஹிதை.
