Kaisika Dwadasi celebrated with religious fervour in Tirumala on Sunday.
Earlier in the wee hours, around 4:30am Sri Ugra Srinivasamurthy flanked by Sri Devi and Bhu Devi were taken on a procession along four mada streets and reached the temple before sun rise.
Later KaisikaDwadasi Asthanam has been performed by the temple priests inside the temple. It is only on this day in the entire year that the deity of Ugra Srinivasa Murthy is brought out of the temple.
HH Sri Tirumala Pedda Jiyangar Sri Periyakoil Kelviyappan Sadagopa Ramanuja Jeeyar along with Chinna Jiyangar Sri Narayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar took part in the ritual. Temple staff and large number of devotees were present .
