Thai Punarvasu is one of the most important utsavams in Melkote. That was the day when Udayavar unearthed the Thiruvigraham of Swami ThirunArAyanan, the presiding deity of of ThirunArAyanapuram, also known as Melkote. During that utsavam, SwAmi Udayavar will be wearing white coloured vastram before changing to saffron, thereby enacting the happenings which were the results of kirimi kanda ChOzhan’s onslaught on Srivaishnavas 900 years ago. Thai Punarvasu comes on 26th January 2013, a convenient day for people in India. All Srivaishnavas must attend the Utsavam if possible.

- 15-1-2013 Â Angamani Utsavam – morning Selvapillai with Ubhya Nachimar utsavam to Kalyani – Night Nadai Phavdai Utsvam at Angamani Mantapam – Selvapillai Kudurai Vahanam – Utsavm to Paravattai Mantapam
- 15-1-2013 Â Evening “Ullum Thallum” utsavam.
- 26-1-2013 Â Punarvasu Utsavam – Emberumanar Utsavam to Kalyani – Evening Udayavar utsavam to Thirunarayanar Mangalashasanam – Orunayakam Shatarumorai – Night Gadya Thraya Parayanam, Shatrumori – Udayavar returning to asthanam utsvam
