Kanu Pidi is a tradition that the ladies and young girls of the house follow for the well being of their brothers and the family.
During the event at Vaduvur Temple, Thayar (Sita Pirati) was taken on procession to Sarayu Pushkarani (Temple Tank) to perform Kanu Pidi followed by Thirtha Vaari.
As per, Sri Vaduvur Govindan, Sita Pirati performed Kanu Pidi for better health and wealth of all her children, who are us, the devotees of Lord Rama.
